maskas

Facemasks have become common in our lives due to the current situation. However, in the firefighting profession, various face and respiratory protective masks have been providing protection in dangerous situations for decades and have since become one of the main components of firefighting equipment.

With the newly opened thematic exhibition "The Evolution of Human Respiratory Protective Equipment" in our museum, we offer a small insight into different facemasks, where they came from and how they protect mask users in various dangerous situations. You will be able to find out why in the past firefighters had a long beard, how long people wear different masks, the ways people tried to protect their pets. You can find this and other things in our new thematic exhibition, which will be available to you until 30 March 2022.
